Hi! I’m Lisa Michelle
I’m an integrative nutrition and holistic health coach, lifelong foodie, writer, wife, and mother living in New York City.
Be Well with Lisa Michelle is my lifestyle blog where I share recipes, health and wellness tips, and glimpses into how I keep my own family feeling great. I cover a range of topics including motherhood, food, lifestyle, and travel all from the perspective of a holistic health coach.
The longer version
Food has always been a great love of mine. My mother is an amazing cook and I like to think I get this passion from her. But I also grew up in the 90s and my diet regularly consisted of Lunchables, Snack Well’s, and Sunkist. It wasn’t until I was in my 30s that I realized how much I was affected by what I was consuming. At that point, I may have stopped eating foods with catchy names, but I was still buying a ton of processed junk all the same. It was normal for me to have brain fog, terrible digestion, lackluster sleep, anxiety, and extreme hormonal mood swings. After years of feeling defeat, I eventually got curious enough to explore the root cause of my consistent discomfort. This led me on a journey of self exploration, reflection, healing, and self care. And it led me to start cooking. Lots and lots of cooking. Learning about ingredients and finding my way in the kitchen was a tipping point for me. From there, I explored other areas of wellness, from finding exercise I love (hello, SoulCycle!) to deepening my meditation practice, all of these new habits were transformative. I believe we are always learning and growing so I can’t quite say I have all the answers, but after years of making small everyday changes, and learning everything I can about holistic health, I have never felt more aligned in mind, body, and spirit.
The changes I have made in my life have inspired me to share this work with others. In 2021, I began the path to becoming certified as a holistic health coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Now my goal is to continue to share my passion for what I’ve learned to help others feel their best. I do this by offering one on one health coaching where I meet with you to understand your personal health history and current goals. From there, we make a plan together that covers nutrition and lifestyle. As your coach, I’ll be your accountability cheerleader during our time together so that you can feel great in your body and start living the life of your dreams. If you’re curious about working together, feel free to book a free 30-minute consultation.
